Porrelli were established in Paisley in 1925 by Gerardo Porrelli, the grandfather of the current managing director, Enzo Durante.

When Gerardo arrived in Scotland from Italy he brought with him his families accumulated knowledge on traditional Italian ice cream. The business originally concentrated on the manufacture of ice cream which was supplied to cafes and mobile vans.

The Company has repeatedly won awards for its ice cream, for excellence in quality, innovation and artistic design, and holds the record for the highest number of awards in any one year.

Today Porrelli still manufacture award winning deluxe ice cream and sorbet but in addition we now supply a wide range of specialty frozen desserts, gâteaux, sundries and decorative materials to the food service sector. We also distribute our ice cream to the retail sector, along with leading brand frozen impulse lines from Mars, Nestle, Treats and Walls.
